I'm still here... Just a super lot going on right now.
We're all adjusting to me being back to work full time. I just haven't had a lot of time to write, or even think about writing. This week has been a particularly crazy week with an earthquake and a hurricane hitting NYC. I know, it sounds way more dramatic than it actually was, but we were evacuated from our home due to the later. Happily, we were able to return today and lucky for us, our unit actually sustained very little water damage and our big old windows didn't blow out with all of the heavy winds. Phew. Our basement wasn't as fortunate, and is flooded to the very top, but we're pumping it out right now. So, hopefully all will be back to "normal" soon.
The exciting news is that in one month we're moving! :) Can't wait for that. Along with more space, and better parking, I am really looking forward to decorating our new house. I've been starting to check out blogs, magazines, and Etsy for decorating inspiration. Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a very laid-back, colorful, eclectic, and informal sensibility. I love mixing modern pieces with antiques, and everything must be unique, personal, and preferably unusual. That being said, I came across a very cool house tour on Apartment Therapy of a family's home in Echo Park that got me inspired and couldn't wait to share it.
Enjoy.

LOVE THIS SPACE! I'm in the same boat- perusing design blog after design blog, search for inspiration to decorate our new apartment. Never mind that we have to move in 3 weeks & have yet to find a perfect new space.. Anyway I'd love to see pics of your new home when it's all set up!
I promise to post pictures when we move in and get situated. Do the same for your new place, when you find it.
